If you had asked me a few years ago if I’d ever be excited about sending marketing emails, I probably would have laughed.
Like many small business owners, I worried about bothering people. Would they think I was sending too many emails? Would they unsubscribe? Was anyone even reading them?
But over the years, I’ve realized something important: our emails aren’t just advertisements—they’re reminders.
At InFunity Events, we spend our weekends helping create memories at school carnivals, company picnics, HOA festivals, birthdays, church events, and community celebrations. The funny thing is, most of those events are planned by incredibly busy people. Their to-do lists are endless, and booking inflatables or entertainment isn’t always the first thing on their mind.
Then one of our emails lands in their inbox.

Maybe it’s a new inflatable we’ve added. Maybe it’s a foam party video. Maybe it’s just a photo from a recent event. More often than not, we hear, “I’m so glad you emailed me, I completely forgot I needed to book our event!”
Those moments remind me why we keep sending them.
I’ll let you in on a little secret, though…
Sometimes it’s actually scary to hit “Send.”
Our weekends fill up fast, and there are times when we’re already looking at a calendar with very few dates left. A part of me wonders if I should just stop marketing until things slow down.
But then I think about our returning customers.
Many of them have trusted us with their events for years. Some schools have been booking with us for over a decade. We’ve watched little kids grow into high school students, seen neighborhoods make annual traditions, and worked with companies that invite us back year after year.
Those relationships mean everything to us.
The last thing I want is for one of those longtime customers to realize they forgot to book their event because I was afraid to send one more email. I’d rather give them a gentle reminder and help them reserve their date before our calendar fills up.
That’s why Constant Contact has become such an important part of how we run our business. It keeps us connected to the people who have supported us for so many years, gives us a chance to share what’s new, and helps us stay top of mind when event planning season rolls around.
At the end of the day, our goal has never been to fill inboxes.
Our goal is to fill bounce houses, foam parties, festivals, and community events with smiling faces.
And sometimes, all it takes to make that happen is one email and the courage to press “Send.”
