IOA Members Work Together to Push Back on Cincinnati Permit Fees
Being organized to react to issues is an important part of the success to influence policies and compliance issues. In April of 2026, Ohio operators located in the Cincinnati area were facing additional permit fees to operate within the city and Cincinnati Circus Owner, Dave Willacker reached out to IOA for assistance. Building permits were being required by the city although amusement rides are classified as exempt and State inspections are managed through the Ohio Department of Agriculture Ride Safety division.
